At this Pre-Race Dinner, we will:
- Receive Instructions for what to bring and what to do for the Triathlon
- Turn in fundraising $ collected offline
- Celebrate training and fundraising to date
- Share challenges, accomplishments and breakthroughs
Our Group Dinner Menu ($17.00 per adult) includes your choice of:
- Fifteen Layer Baked Lasagna
- Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Fettucini Alfredo
- Chicken Tettrazini
- Grilled Chicken Marinara
Also includes: tossed salad, sourdough bread, beverage (coffee, tea or soda)

Final Group Training on 3/21/09
This post is to announce our final group training session before the Sprint Lone Star Triathlon on April 4 (Arpil 5 for the Quarter and Half Ironman Distances).
Be ready to get wet! Let's all dive into our OPEN WATER swim clinic! Coach Richard Butler will be talking about stroke technique and what we can all do to be better swimmers. Richard has coached for 15 years, and this clinic is for swimmers of ALL levels.
What to Bring?
>swim attire
>goggles
>swim cap (if needed)
>Towel
>change of clothes (as needed)

Group Training #5: Brick Workout (Bike & Run/Walk) on 3/7/09
Only 2 more group training sessions before the Sprint Lone Star Triathlon on April 4 (Arpil 5 for the Quarter and Half Ironman Distances). So for this Saturday:
What: Brick workout, i.e. some biking followed by running. Our guest speaker is podiatrist Dr. Randy Beckman, DPM, FACFAS. Randy is a Marathon and MS-150 finisher and is a foot and ankle Board Certified Podiatrist. He was the Sports Medicine President in school where he did medical support for multiple marathons in the country. Following his discussion this Saturday on biking/running equipment, care of ankles and feet (against blisters), he will do Gait Analysis and Shoe-Gear Evaluation for all you runners!
We will then do an approximate 45 minute bike ride then about 20 minutes of Running/Walking. This will help get you used to transitioning between the two sports on race day.
When: Saturday, March 7 from 8am to 10am. Please be on time. Note that with other teams meeting there as well, parking is very difficult.
Where: Picnic Loop (Memorial Park). We will meet at the picnic tables in front of the restrooms at the start of the loop.
Directions: Going North on 610, Exit Memorial Drive/Go right (east) on Woodway Drive/Go through the first light/At the SECOND light, turn right on N. Picnic Lane/We will meet adjacent to the small parking lot on your immediate left/There is additional parking to your right.

- Towel
